Ladies of Zion… what???, who??? is this? Well, here is a little bit about this group.
The Ladies of Zion is a fellowship group of women that are involved in several activities that benefit each other, the Church and School. Our purpose is to be an arm of the Congregation, offering service and assistance to the total spiritual uplifting and welfare of Zion members.
The Luthereran Women's Missionary League (LWML) is a group we are active in that helps spreads the Gospel world-wide. For 60 years this organization has been encouraging and equipping women to live out their Christian lives in active mission ministries and to financially support global missions. The mite offerings that are collected go towards mission grants for education, training pastors, etc.
Ladies of Zion meets on a monthly basis (usually the 2nd Wednesday). The meeting normally lasts about 2 hours and includes a bible study and committee reports.
One of the biggest undertakings is the annual Smorgasbord and County Store. This event includes a delicious dinner buffet and
a County Store where you can purchase homemade crafts and baked goods. Many volunteer hours and helping hands are involved in making this event a success!
We would like to invite you to attend our meetings to find out what the group is all about and then…. hopefully join and be a part of this great group of women! We work hard
but we also have a lot of fun!!
